Africa Certification for Indian Exporters

From Lagos to Mombasa to Durban, Indian cables, pumps, auto parts, tiles and appliances are in demand across Africa. The catch is that most African markets check conformity in the exporting country, before shipment. PCN arranges testing, inspection and certificates in India so your buyer clears customs without surprise fees.

Africa Certification FAQs

Do African countries inspect goods in India?

For PVoC-type programmes (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda) and SONCAP, yes. Inspection and certification happen before shipment through appointed agencies.

Can I ship first and certify later?

It isn’t advisable. Goods without certificates face destination inspection fees, delays or refusal.

Is one test report enough for several countries?

Often, yes. An accredited IEC/CB report can support several applications, though each country issues its own certificate.

Do telecom products need extra approvals?

Yes. NCC, CA, ICASA and NTRA type approvals are separate from general conformity certificates.

Requirements, portals and fees change often. PCN confirms the applicable rules for each product before quoting. Certificates are issued by the relevant authority, accredited certification body or notified body.
