Household electrical controlled goods in Singapore need a Certificate of Conformity from a designated body, registration by a local registered supplier, and the Safety Mark. Telecom products register with IMDA. PCN prepares the evidence for your Singapore partner.

Singapore regulates household electrical, electronic and gas products under the Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Registration Scheme, run by Enterprise Singapore’s Consumer Product Safety Office. Products on the list of Controlled Goods must be tested, certified and registered before sale, and must carry the SAFETY Mark. Examples include power adaptors and chargers, multi-way adaptors and extension sockets, electric kettles, rice cookers, irons, hair dryers, refrigerators, washing machines and air-conditioners.
Only a Registered Supplier, a business registered in Singapore, can register Controlled Goods. Indian manufacturers therefore work through a local importer or distributor. PCN prepares the technical file and coordinates certification so your Singapore partner only has to complete the registration.
| CPS Registration Scheme | Controlled Goods need a Certificate of Conformity from a designated conformity assessment body, registration by the Registered Supplier, and the SAFETY Mark. |
|---|---|
| IMDA Equipment Registration | Telecom and wireless equipment, such as Wi-Fi routers, Bluetooth devices and mobile phones. |
| NEA – MELS / MEPS | Mandatory energy labelling and minimum energy performance for regulated appliances such as air-conditioners, refrigerators, clothes dryers, televisions and lamps. |
| Plugs | Plugs must meet Singapore Standard SS 145 (3-pin, BS 1363 type). |
With a valid CB test report, certification and registration usually take 2–4 weeks. Certificates of Conformity are time-limited and must be renewed before expiry to keep the registration active, so build renewals into your compliance calendar.
Cost depends on the product category, whether an existing CB report can be used, and how many models and variants are covered.
