What is NS Mark Nepal?

The Nepal Standards (NS) mark is Nepal's national quality mark, administered by the Nepal Bureau of Standards & Metrology (NBSM). For products the Government of Nepal has made mandatory – including cement, steel rods, GI wire and sheet, PVC cables, dry cells, LPG cylinders and LPG regulators and valves – goods cannot be sold without NS certification, and the rule applies to imported goods as well as products made in Nepal. Because India is Nepal's largest supplier, Indian manufacturers of these products are directly affected.

  2. Prepare the application with product specifications, test reports and factory quality-control documents.

  4. Factory assessment of the manufacturing and quality-control system, where NBSM requires it.
