BIS certification for electronics, IT hardware and engineering manufacturers in Bengaluru. We handle CRS registration, ISI mark licences and FMCS, plus WPC and TEC approvals for connected devices.
Bengaluru is India’s hub for electronics design, IT hardware, IoT start-ups and precision engineering. The BIS Bengaluru Branch Office covers Karnataka. Most Bengaluru products we handle fall under BIS CRS: adapters, power banks, LED drivers, IT equipment and smart devices. Many also need WPC ETA and TEC MTCTE approval when they have radio or telecom functions.
PCN India Global plans all of these approvals together, so a single product launch doesn’t get stuck on one missing certificate. We map your product to the right Indian Standard, book BIS-recognised labs and file your application.
| Industry / cluster | Typical BIS route |
|---|---|
| Electronics and IT hardware (Electronic City, Whitefield) | BIS CRS (IS 13252, IS 16046 etc.) |
| IoT, smart devices and wearables start-ups | CRS + WPC ETA + TEC MTCTE |
| Engineering and machine tools (Peenya, Bommasandra) | BIS Scheme X / ISI mark where applicable |
| Automotive components | ISI mark under auto-component QCOs |
| Batteries and power electronics | CRS for Li-ion cells and batteries (IS 16046) |
If the product is on the CRS list, such as adapters, power banks, LED products or IT equipment, it must be registered with BIS and carry the Standard Mark with its R-number before it is sold in India.
Yes. Connected devices often need all three. We plan the testing so that you only submit samples once wherever the standards allow it.
Karnataka is served by the BIS Bengaluru Branch Office. The applications are filed online and the process is the same nationwide.
